Finding solace and tranquility can be a challenge in a chaotic world. However, for Lindsay Tempest, a talented artist, and illustrator, the realm of creativity has always been her sanctuary. From a young age, Lindsay, who is autist and ADHD, discovered that drawing was not only her passion but also her safe haven. Through her artistic journey, she has seamlessly woven the threads of art, mental health, and neurodiversity into captivating and thought-provoking pieces.

On her tee-shirt we read: “CALL YOUR ENERGY HOME.” Next header says Metaphorical Artistry, Body text says,Lindsay's illustrations, steeped in metaphor and diversely rich in meaning, offer a glimpse into the complex landscape of human emotions and experiences. Influenced by narrative artists such as Paula Rego and Frida Kahlo, Lindsay employs traditional techniques using biro, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and occasionally watercolor. She breathes life into her subjects through these mediums, creating a visual language that speaks directly to the soul.
Recognized for her extraordinary talent, Lindsay was shortlisted in the top five inaugural 'Womankind' Magazine Art and Illustration Awards in 2019. Since then, her work has graced the pages of notable publications, including Oh Magazine (Issue 55), Dream Broad (Issue 4), Vaine Magazine (Issue 3), and Isabella and Us (Issue 15). Her illustrations have captivated readers worldwide, offering a glimpse into the profound connection between art and the human experience.
